Why are new genres created? Why is the definition of genre controversial and not so applicable to the formation of digital genres?

The creation of a genre is the attempt to personalize information about content that has been grouped largely because of the similarity of the context in which it is being said. as Dillon and Gushrowski were examining in their research, the home page has been morphed into a genre because of the vast majority and similarity across digital spaces. Genres on the web not just communicate with the user in terms of content and context (as a comic would do), but also in virtual spatiality. Because of this relation to spatiality, it becomes difficult for new genres to emerge; people get suffocated. Be it virtual or not, a space condemns existance and matter. As a society much too protective of our own space, digital genres impersonate a rebellious entity on a quest to take over the seemingly free spatial world of the Internet.
